EGR VALVE.

O.K smarty pants. Why does the egr control solenoid valve not work? Yes it's getting voltage and yes it's getting vacuum. I'm gonna assume it's a bad ECU cause that's where the voltage is supposed to terminate.I hope I'm right cause it puzzled me why nobody answered my question about NOx being too high. The egr opens and shuts down the engine but there's no vacuum getting to it. So now you guys know. I really thought someone would know something about the purpose of an egr valve. Pic of solenoid below. For you guys that were guessing, It's in that box at the firewall where all those vacuum hoses go into.

Re: EGR VALVE.

Got another solenoid at the JYARD and still no good. Swapped ECU's and no good. Still getting no vacuum to the egr. Plenty of vacuum to the valve though. Just for the hell of it. I'm gonna hard wire the ground. Wish me luck.

Re: EGR VALVE.

Hard wired to ground and it opened perfectly but it isn't regulated which means I'm getting full vacuum to the egr valve and it runs like crap at idle.
