2nd Hand Engine

Juss got a 2nd hand engine installed. And im still having some problems, will anyone be able to tell wass goin wrong with the car.

- When I start the car, the car runs for about 30 seconds then juss dies, and I have to start the engine again. Same thing keeps happening every time, I turn it on.

- The engine keeps shaking, when I rev it, as if its goin to fall out of the car.

- Black smoke coems out of the exhaust, every time I rev the car.

Would any one know wassup?

1. fuel system problem most likely, maybe injectors, fuel pump, filter, pressure reg., or all of the above...

2. shaking could be due to the motor not idleing smooth or running smooth "skipping"

3. black smoke means you're runnin a bit on the rich side or a lot on the rich side witch could cause numero uno to happen

No, to much fuel. Any codes? Coolent sensor could be dead. Where did the engine come from? Is it the same year as the one you took out? Do you have any history on the new motor? Are all the sensors plugged in?
