Upper ball joint/ Tire wear.

Since I replaced my rear passenger upper ball joint bearing and suspension dropped. My passenger tires wore out on the insides so quickly and i only had them for maybe a year. Removing upper control arm and replacing the bearing have anything to do with it? should i have gotten an alignment done? i finally got new tires and worried of this happening to these so quick are these a possible relation to my tires wearing bad on that side... cuz they are wanting to use a camber on my ride and prelude3g says nooooo way to it.

Re: Upper ball joint/ Tire wear.

You should have your car aligned any time you replace suspension components. Ball joints will not have much effect on it, but it's always a good idea to do it.

If you lowered your car you definitely need an alignment. Lowering it not only affects the the camber, but it also affects the toe in. Negative camber will cause premature tire wear, but having the toe adjustment off wears tires out faster.

Re: Upper ball joint/ Tire wear.

Negative camber is pretty much unavoidable on a dropped vehicle. There are adjustable ball joints and camber kits to help even camber out. It's something all of us who are dropped just live with, lol.

+1 That is pretty much the golden rule I have always been told to follow with suspension.
