My Lude is OUT of COMISSION!!! :-(

Ok my lude has been havin some issues!.. And a couple nights ago it broke down!.. Ok a guy told me that my transmission was pretty much shot prior to it breaking down!.. So Im like D***!.. Ok then my dad checks it out and says its just my throughout bearings on my clutch!.. Ok so I buy a new clutch. havent put it in yet!.. I still need to know whats wrong with me Lude can somebody help me? but i know everybody needs more info than that so here it is:

b4 my lude broke down it was sumtimes hard to shift...also it would make a whining noise while i was driving...then the night it broke down it made a crazy noise then sounded like something was dragging the ground but there wasnt nething dragging...i quickly push the clutch in hoping not to do nemore damage put it in neutral and still keep the clutch pedal in and pull over...i turned the car off started it back up put it into gear and it still felt like it was trying to pull...i dont know whats wrong with my lude but i'd like for somebody to give me some kind of feed back!..any thoughts? i hope it is just my clutch but i dont think thats the only problem!.. HELP ME PLEASE!

and along w/ my precious lude breaking down i found out i owe $5000 for school! IM SOOOO F***ED!!!!

oh and my friends 240 with an rb26 swap did the same kind of thing and it was his clutch

keeper is on a distinguished road
There is no question that you need a clutch kit. Be sure and machine your flywheel.

Yeah dude my brother just had one go out I replaced mine already. What you were probably hearing was the throw out bearing coming apart, plus since the bearing is wore out probably your pressure plate as well, get you a nice clutch kit usually around $200 or so. If your dad is mechanically inclined and yourself I'd say you could have it done in one weekend.

I would also recommend taking the flywheel off and taking it by a machine shop for them to resurface (about $25-35). It makes alot of difference.
