Good deal for 3rd gen or not?

hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum and also new to 3rd gen ludes, but I have had my 5th gen lude for six years now. I need a daily driver so I found this very clean (interior as well as exterior) 89 lude going for $2300, but the guy is willing to let it go for $2000. At first he couldn't get it to start and told me it was the distributor, which he can replace for free. He finally got it up and running and the engine seemed to idle normally, which has 175,000 miles. After letting it warm up, I took it for a test drive and it seemed to run perfectly (engine still pulled hard) and the clutch still felt strong. Then I accidently stalled the car and got it to start back up with no hesitation. Just wanted to know if you guys think this is a good deal or is that how much they are going for?
thanks,
kev

It really depends on where you live.
Here in NYC, 3g Ludes go for $1000.00
In some other states, they command at least $3000.

I would ask for $1500 with the new distributor.

I think in New york an 89 lude would be a rust bucket. Buy it.

Not sure where you are from, but I looked up on Kelly Blue Book on a 1990 Honda Prelude SI 2 DR Coupe in excellent condition $1950 (150,000 miles)I was going to buy my brother from him and I found he is asking too much so I am letting it go.
