seat too high?

Tried to search for an answer to this but no luck. I have to lean my seat back or my head is in the roof. Do I need a different style seat like a racing seat? It's hard to drive when I have to stretch way out to hold the wheel. Hurts my back too. Any advice on how to correct this besides getting another car? Thanks.

Re: seat too high?

A properly mounted changeover seat could solve this issue. I've noticed when i drive my friend's 3g that my head touches the sunroof, so I tilt the seat back a bit...then notice my shoulders get sore becuase of the way I'm sort of leaning forward.

You can buy lower rails for the likes of Recaro seats (I recommend buying a well known brand of seat - remember where your spine is in the event of a serious collision) which can avert this problem. I've also heard of people in this case moving the seat itself back - as in towards the rear axle. I'd ask aroudn your area for a reputable trim shop and ask their opinion.
