3rd Gens aren't that uncommon are they? Rant from a mad asian kid.

So I spend the night just driving around with my friends, dinner and a movie and just cruising around. Just the whole nine yards of a night out.
I'm sure I saw a million 3rd gens on the road (okay maybe in the ballpark of 5 or 6). I didn't really think that that many of them were on the road. Okay I do realize that they aren't really that old, but still I'm sure the majority of them haven't lived easy lives and I know I praised my car for being able to take abuse and you can quote me on that too! Why in the world was it so hard for me to find one that was in good condition!????
I spend a lot of my time searching through craigslist for other 3rd gens and they are always riced up or had paint that was mocked up from several krylon rattle cans or somehow just ended up being blown up and needing over 9000 new motor components and having rear quarter panels made up entirely of tin foil and BONDO.
Thank whatever higher power or whatever is keeping these lemons off the road because I have never set eyes on a beater 3rd gen that was still moving and that all of these 3rd gens I see all the time are in average to good condition.
In addition to me seeing 1320 3rd gens on the road, as I'm dropping off my date last night at her house, her neighbor pulls up and a 5th gen and as his garage opens I see a 3rd gen in mint condition parked inside it!
Where in the world are you guys keeping these cars and why isn't there a more prevalent fan base for our cars.
I want more drivers of our wonderful old Hondas and more aftermarket, come on guys!

Whats going on!?

lol I'm done.

Um... Same place everyone else keep thier cars Pinky: Out of harm's way. The more rural your neighborhood is, the more likely you will find a GEM. The big secret is the owners remember how sweet some rides are, couldn't have it growing up, then remeber they just turned 18, then go for it. You've seen the progress threads right? there you go! You're just seeing the final product.

I rarely see them in NY. If I do they are not in the greatest shape. If they are in great shape they are Prelude enthusiast. That's why I can't wait to restore my 3rd gen. I always like that gen. I feel your pain buddy. LOL

Re: 3rd Gens aren't that uncommon are they? Rant from a mad asian kid.

We do have a big fan base, but apparently not in New York area.

I know of an H22 swapped 3rd gen who just got transferred over to Jersey from WA. He was trying to find some local 3rd genners that he could meet up with, but he has been there for three months and has only contaced two and has not even met up with them yet.

Mostly the 3rd gen packs are NC, AZ, CA, VA, OR, and WA. That seems to be the majority of the fan base owners locations. Oh and Canada and Australia.

I know that in Germany there is a club, and they frequent the pp.com site so we know that they are there, but they keep to themselves over there for the most part.

Re: 3rd Gens aren't that uncommon are they? Rant from a mad asian kid.

For real the only 3rd gens I have seen around my area are my 89 si 4ws and my buddys 91si from a few years ago. 2nd gens are even rarer, my buddy has the only one I have ever seen in person.

Re: 3rd Gens aren't that uncommon are they? Rant from a mad asian kid.

I've seen two 2nd gens I believe, one driving the opposite direction with a fellow young and dumb teenager behind the wheel and another at in and out which was mint except it has some horrible hood scoop attached to it.
Is there a Prelude following in Northern California? All I ever see are the usual, Civics, Integras, and 240s.

Yeah, I should be meeting him (osvaldo516) at the Tri-State meet this year. Can't wait to see it. Hopefully the 3rd genners that confirmed will be there as well but you know how that goes. LOL How is your build going with the white lude Sean?
