this weekend

ok i know some of you may scold me for this but.....

im tearing the top half of my engine off and ONLY putting a new head gasket on and a new alternator and of course the obligatory oil change

this should fix my over heating / water in oil and no charge problems

i may crack open the carbs to make sure the float isnt stuck if i have time

my cash flow is minimal until next friday.......but i need a car now

for the no charge problem make sure to check your terminal connection first, then change the altenator if the terminal is not theproblem

pat on the back a lil too soon .................... took the car to work , run great

went to lunch and it over heated and split the radiator

any thought as to why this happened?

i thought i purged all the air out of the cooling system but maybe not , would that do it?

i fixed 95 % of the vacuum leaks too

i know it needs to be timed but its not that far off
