Tokico strut replacements

So i installed 3 outta 4 of my struts and i was super pissed that i have to go back do drill out the control arm bushing on the last strut but thats not what this is about. What this is about is the same thing in the write up on prelude3g is happening to me. The rod? on the strut, (Shiny metal pole) is going up through the strut mount and pushing up on the hood,

So im stumped... I don't understand how to fix this by just looking at the write up, plz help

Re: Tokico strut replacements

YO!! thats crazy, i never saw anything like that... but im confused cause the mount thing that goes ontop of the spring is supposed to go into the 3 holes then they get tightened by a nut. so the strut shouldnt be going through like that, its suppose to hold.
I would say to get coilovers. but still it shouldnt be doing that. Get a new mount that the top of the spring goes to, you could try that

Re: Tokico strut replacements

yo that happened to me in the rear! you put something on wrong on the top. i forget what exactly i did wrong but one of the pieces you put on have to go in a different order.. ****t havent done shocks in a while can't remember which it is.

just look at it and you'll see theres a piece thats suppose to go lower to hold it so it doesn't fly up. good luck!

Re: Tokico strut replacements

bCoy, is right, you need to take everything apart and start over, the bushings and washers at the top of your strut are in the wrong order, have to look around to find the right way im sure its on the web somewhere, and be sure you check your other side and make sure that ones ok too
