Exhaust, i would say go custom because the only cat back system that is abundant for the 3rd gens is the pacesetter monza system, it fits good and everything but it is heavy
wheels and tires, im runnin 17 x 7"s on my 4ws with 205/40 tires and i dont have any problem with rubbing or anything like that, and it seems to hold the road better than with my 14" sawblades with Bridestone Potenza 195/65s on them
as for other simple but cool mods, check out www.prelude3g.com <<< Great site!!

Exhaust:
Custom exhaust will be the most cost efficient.
Here's mine:
http://preludezone.com/showthread.php?t=2246
If not, search, search for that elusive Thermal Research & design system.
edit:OH~ 4th gen systems fit our cars too. I believe it's just one of the hangers that need to be rewelded. So there's another option.

Suspension:
Tokico Hp blues or Koni's(red & yellow)
As for spring setup, i would suggest Ground control coilovers for full adjustments when and if you do plan on autocrossing.
If you need to replace on a budget, Gabriel(replacement brand) run for like $40. each.

Eibach, Neuspeed, Intrax & H&R all make lowering springs for our cars, sport(1.8) or race(2.25).
Get yourself a beefer swaybar...www.whiteline.com (Though, you may have to order from Australia)
Ingals camber correction kit. Great investment.

Wheels:

I would keep your 15's and get some serious sticky tires.
I have a set of Falken Azeni's 195 55 14 for the track.*

Simple cool mods?

getyourself a ebay-Teggy CAI already. Less than $40 shipped and you get yourself a cheap mod that will make driving that much enjoyable

My setup: in the brief~

engine:
Integra CAI with K&n filter

Suspension:
Tokico HP struts
Neuspeed sport springs
ingals camber kit

wheels:
One-too many setups!
hovering around 3 different wheel/tire setups lol!!

So, speaking with experience, you really cant go too cheap on this car.
Parts are getting so hard to find, you might as well buy, and buy for performance while they still exist.
Im sure the same goes for your CRX Uncle. You know the deal.

good luck, do your Prelude up man.

hey guys thanks for steering me in the right direction on the little things.... and Prelude13 i did check out the suspension site and just out of curiousity is there another place that will let me drop my car more.... like maybe 2.5 in the front....cus it looks really bad and i want her low but still functional...

and as far as exhaust goes your pretty much saying a universal Thermal muffler is the way to go?? if so i didnt think about this but i already have two of them sitting in the rafters of my garage un-used (s10 project with v8) and they are 2.5 in. and out so iam sure they will work fine i hope lol...and just throw on a decent tip and walla

intake goes ya i heard that the LS intake is the way to go for that deal... but once again thanks for the help

if you want to lower the car that much i would say go with the tokico struts but put on the Ground Control coil overs, those will allow you to drop it as low as you want to.. they're going for 320 shipped on ebay, heres the link

I wouldn't want to drop a car 2.5 inches.
I dont care if GOD came down and paved you a velvety road...DONT drop your car 2.5 inches and expect NOT to scrape here and there...plus, you can punch a hole in your tranny, downpipe or do other damage...our Preludes are low enough...2.5????!?!!?

and yes, if you have a Thermal universal muffler, why not? it'll free up back pressure that the stock muffler restricts.

^^My friend, he slammed his car to 3 inches.
This was an amazing setup.

It was built for track, but it died:

4ws
Koni Reds/Yellow
Ground Control coilovers
Mustard cat front/rear strut bar
Orijin bushings
White line sway bar

...NYC roads punished his tranny. punched a golf sized hole.
It looked SOOOO SWEET though slammed at 3 inches.

ya thanks again guys.... i do like the ground control coilovers...those look sic!! and Prelude13 i see what your getting at as far as worring about holes in the tranny and what not, the roads out here arent the best but they are good...i just wanna be able to drop my car pretty good just to take pics and what not...but i will look into puting on the muffler in the next couple of weeks and get some sound clips up to see what you think
