84 Honda Prelude problem. See Vid.

So I was on the way to work this morning and my 84 prelude just died on me. Had to have it towed back to the house. The AAA driver was thinking either the timing belt gave way or something was wrong with the distributor. So I took off the distributor cap and tried to turn it on but the distributor rotor didn't turn. At this point I was certain it was the timing belt. Took the top timing belt cover off and saw that it was still intact. No missing "teeth" off the belt or from what I can visibly see at this point. The timing belt doesn't turn but the accessory belts for the waterpump, a/c and alternator does. All I get is what you see in the vid link below when I try to start it. Before I start tearing it down this weekend any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Keep looking at that timing belt...it could be broken down where you can't see it.

Check your harmonic balancer. May have separated.

I haven't had a chance to work much on this car yet but Im pretty positive its the timing belt...the distributor rotor doesn't turn. A mechanic friend of mine who is unfortunately five states away tells me that Im probably missing teeth on the belt. He also tells me I probably have bent valves....Da**....

Oh yes timing belt all the way reminds me of the two times mines done this...same thing the teeth sheared off at the bottom have fun it's not too hard just make sure ur at tdc, I changed my front main last weekend so let me give u a quick run down...so u got the top off good, now take off the water pump pulley just the pulley, the little white vacuum sensor on top by that top timing cover and the bracket it's on, take all the belts off too, the crank shaft pulley is a pita u gotta put a screw driver thru the hole in the edge, and turn that 17 hard, get that off don't lose the little key in the pulley, take off the five size 10 lower timing belt cover bolts take off the timing cover and I guarantee Ull see a stripped belt , u gotta take off that side motor mount to be able to get the timing belt on and off put a jack with a piece of wood or a book under the oil pan for support...while ur in their take the crankshaft gear off and change ur front main seal it's easy since ur already this deep, unless u have and extremely low mile lude, u need the seal pusher to put the new one in it should be a rental tool and that seal should be like ten to fifteen bucks...the timing is seen thru the hole on the front of engine where it meets the transmission the will be a T at the tdc mark the tdc mark for the cam is that hole in the gear up top should line up with the valve cover screws at tdc get that new belt on tension it up put all them mounts, covers, pulleys, belts and vacuum crap back on start it up and smoke a cig... Not bad for my first post here, hope that helps...
