shifter linkage busing help???

there is 2 bushings that go vertical and horizontal closest to the tranny casing one of the bushings is fine and the other is completely gone. also there is a boot to keep fluids in and dirt out from the shifter linkage and that is torn also.

Where can i find these asap and what are the specific real names to these parts if you need more info i will try my best to explain it better. if that doesn't work i will post pics Tuesday.

Can you post a pic? It would help to see just exactly what parts you're talking about... :)

Re: shifter linkage busing help???

for the bushings just go to a junk yard. The boots you could probably just use some generic ones. By any means just go to a parts store and ask for them. They will look it up for you. Or search google for a place to buy them...

Re: shifter linkage busing help???

The problem is that the U joint bushings I believe that your talking about are unserviceable correct? The way i fixed this was i made a set of bushings out of poly and used new bolts and locknuts so you can tighten the joint up to a perfect tension.

I actually sell the kits on redpepperracing, they work on first gen crx's, third gen civics and 1st gen integras. I would be willing to bet that they will work on your car aswell. So i dont know what you want to do, because i dont have a prelude (yet) im not going to promise that they will work, but im leaning towards that it will. Id make a deal with you, if you baught a kit from me, id send you the kit, if it doesnt work out, send it back and il give you the money back.
