Cruise Control Issues

I have an 86 Si with a cruise control problem. Pressed the button on the dash green light comes on, Press SET on Steering Wheel and green light in Cluster comes on, let off gas pedal and it drops speed like the cruise is not working. Any Ideas? THanks for the help.

Re: Cruise Control Issues

I agree with the guy above me lol. The actuator for cruise is hideous. And it really helps clean up the engine bay once its deleted. But I personally would locate the actuator in the bay, and follow the cable that goes into the firewall from the actuator, and make sure it isn't snapped anywhere. Then go inside the cabin and look up from pedal and see if the metal cable is snapped from the point where it comes into the cabin, to where it connects to the pedal. Hope that helps.

Re: Cruise Control Issues

check your vacuum line that connects the actuator to your intake manifold !
