I have a 86 prelude 2.0 si. It port and polished intake manifold and rebuild head, 483cc ml injectors, b&m CommandFlo, notched pistons, hastings piston rings, acl rod bearings, arp rod bolts and runnning on nos. NOw, I'm thinking about going H-series. I dont know if I should go H22a, H22a1, H22a4 or H22a7. What do you all think?

Re: I dont know if I should go H-series

I think it's going to be serious work. It's possible, but it's a tight fit, and as far as I know, there's no swap kit -- everything (including the hood -- BT/A18 leans back...the H22 leans forward) will have to be custom built.

If you're looking for an engineering challenge, though, that'll do it!

yeah it gonna be a lot of custom fab work. Dont go the cheap route though and you should be fine. There has be atleast one person that may have done this swap. Ur gonna need to adjust the front suspension and idk abt power steerin or ac, u may not be able to keep them. What if u do a b20 build or a b18 i think that mite fit easier.

Re: I dont know if I should go H-series

I think post pics... and good luck

edit: I agree with the below... if you do it go obd1... jdm is the most reliable way of getting lower mileage engines, so the h22a is the first that comes to mind.

Re: I dont know if I should go H-series

my prelude will end up as my track so the ac and power steering dont matter.
