vacuum lines going to distributor?

Hi everyone i have an 1986 dual card 5spd lude. Im wondering if anyone here has a dual carb prelude? if so where do your vacuum lines run from the distributor to the motor? theres two of them.

The reason i ask is because i just finished a carb swap two weeks ago and i dont think my vacuum advance is working.

Thanks Greg

Re: vacuum lines going to distributor?

Have you tried searchin the resource guide??? I'm sure it'll have lots of pics and diagrams for vacuum lines....I'd love to be a lil more help but I dont know much about 2nd gens. Click on 2nd gen at the top of this page, Look for a sticky thread that says online manual or resource guide or something along those lines...

Re: vacuum lines going to distributor?

One is a open port used to pull in air the other needs to be connected to the intake manifold to obtain Vacuum. You can test it by sucking on one of the vac lines and listen for any changes in the idle/timing.

I want to say top is open and bottom is mani Vac, you can always switch it and see.
