Re: 87 Prelude 2.0Si 98,0XXorignal miles should I?
The rust and wiper motor are minor things, well, the rust is an issue but what can you expect from a car that is just about 22 years old
![]() When you purchase a car, you need to have the title of the vehicle signed over to the new owner aka YOU. So make sure the title of the car is clean and clear of any liens <--look that up. It's good that you found a 2.0Si, i had a 2nd gen Prelude myself, the Dx version with carburetors. Fuel injection is goooooooooooood ![]() good luck, let us know how you make out. |

Re: 87 Prelude 2.0Si 98,0XXorignal miles should I?
Big thanks for the input man
![]() I was thinking buy it, and since I have private parking and till I have enough money and a better paying job, I'd spent my time repairing what needs to be repaired and also to learn how to drive stick on. Plus it's different no one around here gives any love to these cars, they all are stock on their hatchy's and tegs. But anyway thanks once again, and just wondering isn't there a way to check if it's really the clutch that needs to be replaced and not the tranny? EDIT: How do I check if the titles clear? ***Nvm, I googled it. Carfax does the trick. Last edited by CB7tuner; 04-17-2009 at 06:52 AM. |

Re: 87 Prelude 2.0Si 98,0XXorignal miles should I?
That sounds cool too, buying it for cheap and saving it for a future project. 2.0si's are hard to find, especially with low miles.
I also had a CB7 Accord. It was a 1990 lx sedan. Freakishly reliable that took me to Canada and back in the of dead winter lol... |

Re: 87 Prelude 2.0Si 98,0XXorignal miles should I?
You just gotta love them man, nice looking cars. Always pictured the Accord as the Ludes younger brother. ...weird....I know but yea I always pictured it like that, reason why they are my favorite cars Honda ever made.
Back to topic- Prelude will be in front of my front door tommorrow moring 9am (eastern time), willpost pics if you guy's are interested and turns out the car is darkish baby blue rather then silver, and it has a couple of new things installed. |

Re: 87 Prelude 2.0Si 98,0XXorignal miles should I?
No buy guys, regret it big time. Car wasn't meant for me, it had minor problems that I could've easliy fixed in no time and with less then $500 but I failed to realize it before I said no. On top of that the car was a smoker car and it was doing real bad to me due to my asthma, regret it but what can I do the car's under someones else's name now. I'm really regreting it now but can't do nothing about it now, thinking about picking up a 90-93 Accord Coupe or a 4th gen Prelude really don't know. Here's what the car looked like
![]() ![]() and here's what I'm looking into buying ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
