What Motor?

I was wondering what engine came in the american 87 honda prelude si 2.0? Because i am getting one on thurs for $500 with only 137,000 miles on it. Is it a b20a1 or the a20somethin?

Re: What Motor?

If the car is an 87 2.0l with the b20 it is an aftermarket swap as far as I know, the 87 is a 2nd gen which came with the a20 the single overhead cam. At least that is what is in my 87 2.0si. easy way to tell is if the spark plug wires go into the top of the valve cover it is a B-series if they go to the front of the engine by the exhaust manifold then and A-series. Hope that helps.
