Removing Shock Absorber Bushing?

I have a 1987 'Lude (2.0L SI) and I need to replace the shock absorber bushing from the front right lower control arm.

1. It's stuck in there pretty good and I'm wondering if anyone has any good advice on how to remove it.

2. Where can I find a new one since it seems Honda doesn't make the part anymore.

Thanks :)

Dont worry man. I have the same problem. Mine is squeeking so bad and its getting annoying. No luck at the honda dealer here either. I havent really had a chance yet but maybe try napa or another auto parts store you have there.

Re: Removing Shock Absorber Bushing?

Thanks for the help guys, but I had already tried those places and they didn't carry it.

Hondaautomotiveparts.com even allowed me to order the part, and then, AFTER I placed the order I am told in an e-mail:

Thank you for ordering with HondaAutomotiveParts.com. Unfortunately, the item/items have been discontinued by American Honda, and will not be available. We do apologize for the inconvenience and time spent during your purchase. We are proud to display the original complete catalog on our site of every part and every diagram. We have made every effort to search every American Honda warehouse for you. Unfortunately, we will have remove this item(s) from the order, and refunded the amount. The remainder of the order is still in process.

BUSH, SHOCK ABSORBER x 1

$13.29

Guess I'll search for a junk yard close to home.

Re: Removing Shock Absorber Bushing?

I'm in the same boat as you. I had to remove mine the other day, actually got ruined when removing the bolt. Now i can't find one anywhere and i have searched everywhere. Looks like i will have to try junkyards for the whole arm. This is crazy, that no one makes something as simple as a bushing.
