Icon5 PLEASE HELP

Hey everbody I'm new, I'm 16 and I bought a blue 1985 Prelude 2.0 Si as my first car. It has 174 k miles. Its a five speed and it only cost $1000. The lady that sold it to me also threw is some 17' wheels! I'm extremly happy with the car its extremely fun to drive. I didnt think this car was so strong when I bought it!

The car does have a few problems though.. as I've been reading , mine also has a slight idling problem, this is only occasional of course. Also the interior is pretty messed up and i wanted to see it anybody has any seats or know where I can get some(preferably matching blue). The last problem is the passanger door handle. The car was sitting for a while and when i tried to open the passanger door the handle came right off!! If anyone knows where to get on it would be much appreciated.

well thanx for any info!

Re: PLEASE HELP

It actually broke off!! I think it was because the hindge on the handle wasn't oiled. First i tried to open in and i felt like one half break, but i wasnt sure. So I asked my bro to check it out. ANd he yanked it clear off.

Hey well if you can get me a handle I would really appreciate it!!

Re: PLEASE HELP

I dont really want to replace the door all because the money, ike i said im only 16...

I was thinking if you can't just take the handle itself couldn't you just take out the entire door handle assembly??

Re: PLEASE HELP

lol you do not have to replace the whole door. The handles are bolted on from the inside. I can look for handles next time I go to the junkyard, probably next week.

Actually, post the pics, and let me know the measurement of the handle. I have a spare CRX handle that I could send if it will fit.

Re: PLEASE HELP

damn nice, i need the measurement of the entire handle unit (the square thing with the lock on it that is still in your door). I think I will have to go to the junkyard to find these though, they crx ones are a little more rounded.

Re: PLEASE HELP

I love how honda put those rims on just about every car that was made in the 80's. I have a 1987 Honda Prelude with the same rims and a full size spare that came off of my old 1980 honda Civic 1500Dx.
