Anyone have problems with the hazard switch?

Mine stuck. I had to pull the fuse, then worry it a lot for a long time to get it unstuck. I don't wish to push the button again. I looked to see how much a replacement is - $100. Anyone have any tips for keeping the buttons in working order?

Also, anyone have problems getting the car inspected because of the rear taillights? Mine look pretty dim in the daylight, at least until brakes are depressed. I can see them pretty darn clearly at night. It doesn't look like the bezels have gotten worse with age.

Re: Anyone have problems with the hazard switch?

you will probably have to disassemble the switch to see where the problem is. Is it stuck like soda got in it or like something is broken? be careful, it has a rather complex wiring setup since it parallels both right and left turn signals all while keeping them independent of each other....and having a separate switch on the steering column

as for the bulbs, just try to replace them....cant be too expensive if they are standard. Are the lenses in good condition?

Re: Anyone have problems with the hazard switch?

You can remove the unit from the dash but there isn't a way to get inside the mechanism without destroying the housing.

I sprayed brake parts clean and then WD-40 inside the switches and that worked well
