Finally got it to my house! :) Few questions though..

Finally got the Prelude home from my grandmas house, to mine! When driving it home though, the shifter was acting up.. It shifts fine, but when driving or shifting gears, the shifter goes from sticking up quite a bit (normal height) and drops down, and is kinda floppy.. Anyone know what this could be??

Thanks,
Joe

I can't describe exactly what components are involved, but if you check underneath where the shifter connects to the two connecting rods, you'll probably find it rusted out pretty bad. Sometimes the rods actually break right off and render the shifter useless, as was the case on my '80 Civic.
Fixing this will require some effort, especially if you can't find replacement parts and have to improvise. But if that's the only repair this car needs, consider yourself lucky!

Time to take it apart to figure out the problem.
